Rep. Vick speaks against Inslee’s public option health care bill

Rep. Brandon Vick speaks against Gov. Jay Inslee's standardized health plan legislation. House Bill 1523 passed the state House of Representatives on March 8 on a party-line vote of 57-41.

Vick is concerned the legislation is a major step toward government-run health care. It will hurt the individual, small and large-group markets, and could be devastating to rural health care. He expects costs to increase and plan options to decrease.
